March 20 Posting Diigo vs Delicious

After converting all of your bookmarks from Delicious into Diigo I want you to do a compare and contrast of both.
Explain the differences, both good and bad
Explain how using Diigo differs from Delicious (how to bookmark and add tags)

I expect to see several well constructed paragraphs. Use the learning tutorial on Diigo if you need to. Also use the help.

  1. There both about the same. Diigo, you can highlight, pen, and sticky notes. Delicious is a web page only, while on Diigo, you can have an app for your iPod iPad iPhone, and android systems.
There is no easy way to extract your files and data, compared to diigo.

After using both Diigo and Delicious the one that I prefer is Diigo, it is much easier to organize with the tabs and highlights.
Plus I only used Delicous a few times and never liked it and I have used Diigo a lot and its a painless process and after you can find the websites easier then just looking through the internet for that one website.
Also, Diigo has a quick and easy toolbar that already puts the URl and suggested tabs wehn you go to but them in, so it makes it quick and easyu with minimum steps.

I think they're both very good social bookmarking web sites. So far it seems as Delicious is less organized compared to Diigo.
the few times I've used Diigo it has been a lot easier and more user friendly. Delicious, on the other hand, there are more steps to take for one tag and it's just a long drawn out process.
In conclusion I like Diigo so much better.

unlike delicious diigo allows you to save the webpage along with the web bookmark. Each are available as a chrome extension and android app. Diigo is not as good at organizing the bookmarks you save, but that can be easily overlooked withe all of the new features that make it better than delicious

On Delicious, you copy and paste to save a bookmark. On Diigo, you use Diigolet, which is like a toolbar, to save bookmarks. I think delicious is a lot easier, but that's only because I'm used to it. Bookmarking in Diigo is easier, though. Diigo isn't as simple as it lokos though. Delicious is a lot more easy to figure out when starting. I like delicious better.

Honestly, I have never used Delicious before because in Online Experience A, we started with Diigo. By learning with Delicious right now, I find that it’s a little harder to find the “add link” tab than on Diigo. On Diigo, tags and adding bookmarks are right by the previous links – everything is in one area. Both websites have the feature where you can add something to your internet browser’s toolbar to easily bookmark things, which is nice. On Delicious, you go through a process of adding a bookmark. You paste the link, then are taken to another step to add information on it. Diigo has one step. The good thing with Delicious, however, is that you can add an image to a new link instead of just the tags and description on Diigo. Still, I prefer Diigo better because it has a simpler web layout and I can find my tags easier. For example, if I’m looking for something I tagged “BHS” it’s on My Library screen under “my tags” in Diigo and after a few minutes of searching, I still can’t find my tags on Delicious!

Delicious seems like there's a lot more steps to adding a bookmark. I like diigo a lot better because it also has a simple toolbar that you can click on no matter what tab your on. I feel like Diigo has your bookmarks and other things on the web site more organized then dilicious. With diigo you can have floating sticky notes on any website you're on. With Delicious if i typed in my tags I sometimes couldn't find my blog. Yet on Diigo i can finsd it a lot faster and a lot easier. I like diigo way more than delicious.

There isnt a lot different between Diigo and Delicious the only real difference is were the stuff is located on the website. For me diigo is easier to use and was easier to make an account for. I prefer diigo because their toolbar is a lot better then the delicious toolbar. One thing that you can do in diigo that you cant do in delicious is highlight text. Over all I think diigo is much better.

diigo alows you to save the websites and the tags, delicious does not. i think diigo is alot easier. delicious was hard to understand. diigo is easier to see your tags.

Diigo can allow you to highlight a part of a website that interested you so that you can come back and revisit it. it can also allow you to add sticky notes which is a post allowing other Diigo users to view that sticky note and to comment on that topic. On Delicious it allows you to tag multiple websites at once but sometimes the tags wont show if you dont tag them the right way.

Many debates are going on about rather Delicious or Diigo is the better bookmarking website. Some would say that Delicious is more “user friendly” than Diigo, but others may disagree. In my opinion, I don’t really see the difference is using either. They’re both there for the same reason; bookmarking. Delicious, compared to Diigo, is more popular among the people and is probably more suitable for many because they’re used to it. Others may use Diigo because it’s new and may be easier for them to use. It all depends on the user. Since Delicious is an older website and might have more people on it, it may run slower than Diigo. Diigo is more organized and can make the bookmarking experience easier and less frustrating.

After using Diigo and Delicious I prefer Diigo. It is much more easier to use and simplier. I found that Delicious is much more harder to understand and that i'm much more used to using Diigo instead of Delious. You can also use Diigo on your iPad and iPhone.

Bookmarking in diigo and in delicious are about the same. Diigo has more features than delicious but diigo only allows 1000 bookmarks for free you can upgrade to get more. On diigo there are diffrentn kinds of bookmarks such as diigolet or simple bookmark. Diigo also allows you to convert your delicious bookmark to diigo.

Well I have been using Delicious for a while now and I just started using Diigo and so far I think I like Diigo better. I think it is more organized, easier to use and more user friendly. I think the blogging part is pretty much the same but I like Delicious blogging better because they but a bubble around the words to you know they are separately tagged.

    Delicios v.s diigo
Delicios is a lot slower than diigo and diigo is much more oganized but the good thing aboutdilicios is I have been using it for a long time i also think that it is alot easer than delicios to book mark things that you like.diigo also is native to sites like facebook and twitter it is also more user freindly. so if i had a choice i would pick diigo over delicios

After using Diigo and Delicious, I prefer Diigo because I think that it's easier to use instead of Delicious. Diigo lets you just bookmark any favorite sites and already has a toolbar ready to when bookmarking. Delicious does not operate like Diigo, so it makes it alittle more complicated when trying to bookmark websites.

I highly recommend Diigo instead of Delicious. It's alot faster and easier to use when compared to Delicious. That's the difference that I see when comparing these two websites.

  18. i think their is some what of a diffrance like some spots in the web page is moved and delicious is more diffuclut to add just one bookmark,

  19. Well, the difference between the two bookmarking websites is mainly your oppinion. on delicious you have mainly four steps. You click on the "add lick" botton, you then copy and past the url, and last you pick tabs. On diigo you would press the add botton the copy and past the url same as delicious except you make your own tabs. On delicious you can pick already chosen tabs. Te two websites are the same to me but some preffer one over the other!

Honestly I didnt find a difference in the two tagging websites. I find them both easy to use for tagging websites. Diigo is easier to tag thoguh. Considering the fact that delicious was bought by a different website I find it harder to find what exactly what I am looking for. Also tagging websites is easier to tag than delicious ever was.

I think Diigo and Delicious are both easy to add bookmarks. The steps on both websites are very simple.
Some differences between Deilcious and Diigo :
On Diigo you can add sticky notes to your bookmarked pages. You can also extracts highlights. You can not do these things on Delicious. On Diigo you can search for titles, tags, highlights, notes, full-texts, and users. These are some great tools that make Diigo better and more advanced than Delicious. On Delicious you can not bookmark any type of pictures. This is available on Diigo.
Overall Diigo is a much better bookmarking website than Delicious because it opens you up to many more options. It also allows you do more advanced things that will make it easier on you and everyone else using this site.

Diigo and Delicious are both very similar bookmarking websites. I personally find Diigo easier to use because it is much easier to add bookmarks. I personally find Diigo to be more organized than Delicious. Other than that the two websites are very similar, but I think most people would prefer the easier one.

Diigo and Delicious are both the pretty much the same as bookmarking sites. Diigo is easier and has more privacy then delicious.

Diigo and Delicious are similar websites. Both are bookmarking websites. When using Delicious to save a bookmark you go through more steps. With Diigo it is faster and easier to save bookmarks. I like Diigo better because i think it is a faster way to save bookmarks than the way Delicious saves them. Although Diigo and Delicious are very similar, Diigo is a more user friendly website.
